London has been named the most vegan friendly city in the world and one of our favourite places in London that reflects this idea is Shoreditch. Bustling with multiple unusual vegan restaurants and cafes, we were inspired to design a vegan bracelet alternative for you.
Shoreditch combines the old with the new. It has a rich cultural heritage and a vibrant creative scene. It is a hotspot for culture, art, fashion and food.
Veganism is an idea that has been increasingly adopted by Londoners over the last few years and is relatively new in the city. Shoreditch is a hotspot for this idea and inspired us to add a vegan collection to our range – we feel our personalised vegan bracelets for men combine the new idea of using leather alternatives such as cork with the old classic designs of men’s bracelets.
But what is “Cork”?
Cork is bark harvested from the cork oak tree. This is a sustainable material because the tree is not cut down to harvest the cork. The bark is only stripped off the outer layer of the tree, allowing the tree to live and grow. Infact, harvesting cork in this way allows trees to absorb more carbondioxide from the atmosphere which may help with reducing global warming.
Cork is a material that has been around for over 5000 years. In ancient Greece, cork was used to make sandals.
How is it made?
Once the cork bark is stripped, it is taken to a factory where it is boiled to increase elasticity. No hard chemicals are used during this process. These are then compressed into blocks and sliced to create sheets which can then be used to make your accessories.
Cork is fully recyclable, very lightweight, durable, water-proof and our natural colours have a wonderful natural look to them.
Personalise your vegan cork bracelets for men
We are giving you the power to make this vegan bracelet yours by enabling you to add your initials to these dark turquoise cork vegan bracelets. These initials could be the initials of your names. Either you can use one initial to represent your first name and the second initial to represent your surname. They could also represent someone else who is special to you or they could represent something that has a symbolic meaning to you.
You can choose the material of your initial plate. Do you want them to be made in Steel? Silver? Gold? Well, the power is in your hands. Simply select the material you want and we will 3d print these initial plates for you. Click to find out more about our materials.
10% of all sales will go to charity.
Our main goal is to set up a charity/contribute to a charity so as to help others. This, we feel, is the most important thing that can possibly be done in today’s world. We put aside 10% from every sale made for charity. This is our promise to you.
Carefully packed in a bracelet box, these 3d printed initial vegan cork bracelets will be sent to you anywhere in the world with free shipping. Please note it takes 3 – 4 weeks to make these custom bracelets after which they will be sent to you.
What is 3d printing?
3d printing is an ultra cool process of creating your personalised custom initial bracelet plates from scratch using a 3d printer.
Put simply, 3d printing is a process in which solid 3-dimensional objects are created from a digital file, using a 3d printer.
The digital file comprises of the information from the options that you select when personalising your item.
A 3d printer then creates the item through a series of layers as it prints back and forth. Each layer (comprised of the material you select) is laid down successively, one after another, and glued together until the 3dimensional product is created.
Mindblowing, right? Forget the personalisation for a second. We think the novelty of owning a product that is 3d printed is amazing in its own right.
